The Best Link Today:

Okay, so this was yesterday's ink, but the spot opens today, so . . . What can I say?  In honor of the Barbarella poster in my breakfast nook (a bit random, I know), I'd like to point you all in the direction of new Barbarella Bar.  According to RareDaily LA, Barbarella offers 25 globally sourced microbrews and some yummy ass humus.  They say that it's in Silverlake, but it sounds more like Loz Feliz to me . . . who knows?  That's the crazy thing about LA. People never know what neighborhood they're in.  Anyway, it's probably Silverlake and Los Feliz adjacent or something–but, either way, in a cute hipster spot.

Totally curious to check this out, as their other spot, Bungalow Club on Melrose, has never 100% wowed me with all that grilled chicken etc. (though I guess I haven't been in quite a while), but this sounds interesting.  Actually, maybe I do remember good humus at BC?  Eh, we'll see . . .

P.S.  I wasn't kidding:

  1. a friend of mine just went to the Barbarella Bar last night and said it rules. a bit kitsch, but great beers and good food.

  2. Its right up in my neck of the woods on Hyperion in Silver Lake… it looks pretty great from what you can see through the windows… gotta try it in the next week or two. It got a great review today in the LA Times.

  3. Oooh! Now I’m really excited to try it!
