(The smallest picture EVER, but . . .)

The Best Link Today:

Or yesterday . . . Urban Daddy is all about the $2 Pulled-Pork Sandwich at Santa Monica's South.  I have to admit that I've never been to this spot, but their drink menu sounds yummy.  Pimm's Cup anyone? Hurricane? It is almost Mardi Gras . . . I kind of want to be one of those people who sips Mint Juleps on a screened-in porch, but I've never even had one (a Mint Julep or a screened-in porch).

Are Mint Juleps grody? In high school, I once drank a shot of peppermint liquer on a cruise ship in the Greek Islands.  That was grody.  To the max.

Anyway . . . the diminutive picture above is still worth, well, a thousand words and at least one trip to Santa Monica.

P.S. Mint juleps, yay or nay?  Weigh in, please . . .

  1. Several years ago in Paris, I ordered a Diablo Menthe because I couldn’t resist the opportunity to imbibe something called a “green devil.” My French friends couldn’t stop laughing when the Scope-colored drink arrived. They explained that in France, that drink–which contains no alcohol–is the equivalent of a Shirley Temple in the U.S. I think I actually liked it. It wasn’t a mint julep, but it was minty, and oh so bohemian.

  2. THANK YOU!!!
