So, I've decided to take time out of my busy beach lolling schedule to actually write a post.

What?  There may be a hurricane coming.  I need to take what sun and Atlantic Ocean swimming I can get, mofos.

ANYWAY … Travel + Leisure posted my story about the bestest Top Chef restaurants today, so thought you all might like to check it out.

Tune in next week, when I'm back in black.  (That means in LA and writing the blog again, if you didn't understand.)

  1. Derek, this is much appreciated. I would daelry like to hear more comments on the subject of commentaries, particularly from a Jewish perspective. I just got rid of the Zondervan Handbook to the Bible as it was so disappointing rather basic and also wishy washy’ and liberal. What would you recommend as a good one or two volume’ commentary to begin with (a kind of essential basic commentary’ for my library? How do you value the JPS commentaries? Shalom.
