So, Refinery listed their "Top 11" spring must-haves today and I obviously couldn't resist taking a peek.

Okay, I don't want to sound grandma or anything or like someone who fights progress, but some of the 80's stuff is getting a little intense for me.  I feel like it's been slowly resurfacing for so long now and, while I actually really love the above floral full-pieces, round sunglasses (if you can pull them off), platforms and a good old denim jacket, I'm sort of afraid of these backpacks and slashed jeans.

Let's be honest though: we've all certainly said that before and later eaten our words.  The 80's (and 90's, right? I mean, backpacks are full-on 90's!) stuff just feels like a pretty obvious translation of the past instead of an updated homage, but, then again, maybe I'm just mad cause I look squat in a jumpsuit.

But, seriously, who doesn't?

SHUT UP.  SHUT UP.  I want these in black so bad.  Okay, I’ll get ahold of myself.  I know we’re all po-ass and all that jazz, but, for the record, if you want to know which ONE style of shoe is must-have for spring, think platforms like the Louboutin miracles above.  Yeah, dude, they come in a bubble gum python too.  EEK. NEED.
Anyway, misery loves company, so I thought I’d share my pain with you all.  Actually, Barneys is to blame, as they sent out a “Spring Platform” news flash.  LOVE.

P.S. Look for less expensive platform options via iStyleThis–thank you, Candina!
