They say money doesn't grow on trees.
I'm here to tell you that the adage is true. Otherwise, I would hardly be so cash poor. Although, as opposed to green, I do have a sort of black thumb–you know, like one that's been slammed in a door. So maybe, if cash grew like plants, I'd be borrowing money from my gardening neighbor like I do her plentiful lemons. Eh. I'd probably still be po.
Plants actually freak me out sometimes. True story (wink, M). Don't you think "plentiful lemons" sounds gross?
Well, jewelry doesn't grow on trees either, but it does hang quite nicely from branches. Just ask my very handy friend R., who decided to make her own Manzanita Tree jewelry holders. Incidentally, she makes her own jewelry and occasionally stationary and books too, but that's another story.
What can't this amazingly crafty girl do? Well, make Chinese food actually. I know that for a fact. I was there. It was terrible. She used miso paste instead of black beans. Indescribably disgusting.
But I digress. She can (and LOVES to) do anything crafts-related, SO here she is sharing her gift with the world and explaining how we too can make our own Manzanita jewelry stands. It even seems fun to me; the girl who some how kills cacti.
So, this is how the other–more capable–half lives. Interesting. And quite decorative too.
