LA (THIRD STREET): THE BEST 40%-OFF SALE ROOM

This weekend's Third Street Sidewalk Sale may have appeared a bit lackluster (sans the usual block party's free gelato and tacos and some of the now defunct former shops), but most of the stores were in fact offering at least 10%-off goods.  Strolling down the strip, in and out of fave shops from Modern Sage to Hillary Rush, I landed at Satine.  Now, most of the time I peruse Satine with caution, knowing that most of the pieces (shoes, bags, dresses, what-have-you) are sadly out of my range, no matter how passionate the love affair.

But the boutique's backroom (offering 40%-off) is stocked to the brim with amazing finds right now.  I personally snagged the above buffalo-checked Trovata jacket for a fraction of the original price (and you know you can always use a light weight jacket in LA).

Maybe it's the economy (no one is shopping, so good stuff is leftover) or just dumb luck, but Satine's back room is currently worth a drive by.

P.S. Even their website is offering a "Dirty 30 Percent Off Sale."  Now, if only I could find a way to grab those See By Chloe platforms . . . not quite on sale.  Pretty please?
